Stephen got his first computer when he was 8 years old and has been enthralled by them ever since. At 14 he built his first PC and after a brief foray into Chemistry chose IT as a career.

Stephen has 25 years professional experience within IT. Having held several senior roles in various industries, Stephen loves to solve business problems by using his knowledge of Tech and IT. Stephen is a current CISSP and is also a CISSP exam developer. He likes to use his experience to help the next generation of IT professionals come through advising the Scottish Qualifications Authority on the contents of their college syllabus’.

Stephen is also an author and content creator. He has signed a book deal with Bloomsbury Publishing to release his book on how to handle a cyber incident if you are a small business or charity and do not have dedicated IT staff. This underlines his ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical people.

Stephen is also a Non-Executive Director of several charities including the Cyber and Fraud Hub. The hub supports individuals who have fallen victim to online scams or fraud. We also provide educational and prevention resources to try and prevent others falling victim to this type of cyber crime. 

Stephen is still a geek and a gamer and if you don’t find him on his Playstation you will find him with his guitar.
